Box Score Bronx, N.Y. – The Lehman women's tennis team lost a 5-4 to CUNYAC rival Hunter College in a conference match-up at The APEX Courts on Saturday.   The Lightning drop to 0-2 (0-1 CUNY), while Hawks move to 1-1 (1-0 CUNY).

Junior Lizaveta Markouskaya won first singles for Lehman, 6-4, 6-1 against Hunter's Maria Kogarova, while freshman Diwa Rana took fourth singles by defeating Hawks' Elaine Zhang in three sets, 6-3, 6-7, 10-5, for her first collegiate victory.

Sophomore Joanna Rosario posted a 6-2, 6-3 victory, in fifth singles, against Ksenia Zevyakina.  Rosario also teamed up with sophomore Yohara Molineros to win in third doubles over the duo of Mehriniso Khaydarova/Tabitha Doris, 8-6.

Lehman will now travel to face Skyline Conference opponent Purchase College next Wednesday at 3:30 pm.
