Bronx, N.Y. – The Lehman College swimming and diving teams were defeated by visiting William Paterson University in a non-conference dual meet at The APEX Pool on Saturday as men's side lost 113-77, while the women dropped a 97-52 decision.
The Lightning men go to 4-5 record and the women go to 4-7 on the year, while the Pioneers improve to 6-3 on men side and 7-2 on women.
Hugo Barrera led Lehman men's side winning the 200 and 500 freestyle clocking in at 2:07.97 and 6:04.89, respectively.
Anton Kyrylenko captured the 100 breaststroke (1:06.09) and was part of the winning 200 medley relay team (1:53.20) along-side
Christopher Fischer,
Daniel O'Neill and
Ryan Sanchez.
Juan Rodriguez,
William Marin-Vidals,
Stibys Reyes and
Raymond Burdier were also winners in 200 freestyle relay at time of 2:05.95.
On the women's side,
Sarina Eshtiaghi claimed first-place in the 200 freestyle (2:14.62) and 100 backstroke (1:03.59), while
Citalli Cureno,
Sheila Davila,
Patricia Gonzalez and
Christina Hitchman were on the winning 200 freestyle relay team clocking in at 2:14.83.
The Lightning are back in action on Tuesday at The APEX when they hosts the Cardinals of York College-NY in a CUNYAC Dual Meet at 6 pm.
