New York, N.Y. – The Lehman College women's basketball team lost its night consecutive game as it fell 55-28 to hosts Baruch College in CUNYAC encounter held at the ARC Arena on Saturday. The Lightning go to 1-14 overall record and 1-6 in CUNYAC, while the Bearcats improve to 4-8 mark and 3-4 in conference play.
Playing without its guard and leading scorer
Lisa Fields for the third straight game, due to injury, Lehman trailed by 10 after the opening period. Then held its own in the second quarter being outscored by a single point heading into the intermission.
The Bearcats then went on an 18 to 6 run in the third period and eventually pulled away for the victory.
Forward
Eriadna Vasquez led the Lightning scoring 13 points with nine rebounds and three steals. Guard
Adeeba Cheema had eight points, six rebounds and three steals, while teammate Patricia Caveliero added four points for Lehman.
The Lightning continue CUNYAC action on Wednesday at The APEX Main Gym when they welcome the Beavers of CCNY at 5 pm.
