Bronx, N.Y. – The Lehman College women's swimming team concluded its regular season as it dropped a 116-87 CUNYAC Dual Meet to visiting John Jay College on Friday at The APEX Pool.
The Lightning fall to 5-8 overall record and 2-4 in CUNYAC, while the Bloodhounds go to 5-6 mark and 3-3 in conference play.
Sarina Eshtiaghi led the way for Lehman as she won all three of her respective events against John Jay on Friday. The four-time CUNYAC Swimmer of the Week, first captured the 1000 freestyle clocking in at 12:33.94, almost two minutes ahead of Bloodhound's second place finisher (Mavis Ma) and three minutes over third place spot (Sol Astudillo) which was also from John Jay.
After taking the top spot in the 200 individual medley (2:27.20), Eshtiaghi completed the three-event sweep of the evening claiming the 100 butterfly at a time of 1:08.70.
The women team will join the Lightning men next month when they compete in the CUNYAC Swimming and Diving Championships at The APEX from February 1-3.
