New York, N.Y. – The Lehman College women's swimming team lost a 75-16 meet to hosts John Jay College at its JJ Pool on Thursday evening. The Lightning dropped to a 2-11 overall record, while the Bloodhounds improved to a 5-7 mark.
The highlight for the Lightning was Liberty Almanzar who claimed gold in the 100 Backstroke with a time of 1:16.55 and in the 200 Freestyle clocking in at 2:39.03.
Lehman will be back in action at the end of the month when it hosts the annual CUNYAC Championships at The APEX Swimming Pool. The three-day event commences on Friday (January 30th) at 2 pm ET.
