Bronx, N.Y. – The Lehman College men's basketball team dropped a 76-62 CUNYAC encounter to visiting Brooklyn College at The APEX on Saturday afternoon. The Lightning fall to 4-7 record on the season and 2-2 in CUNYAC, while the Bulldogs improve to 8-4 ledger and perfect 3-0 in conference play.
Lehman trailed by a single point at the intermission after Brooklyn shot 30 percent from the field (19 % from 3-point range) and 55 percent from the free throw line.
However, the Bulldogs went on a 31 to 18 in first 10 minutes of the second half for a 14-point advantage. Brooklyn would increase later the lead by 17 to pull away and defeat the Lightning for the first time in five head-to-head meetings. It was also the first victory by the Bulldogs at The APEX since 2013.
Lehman's offense was led by forwards
Isaiah Geathers and
Andre Hampton, who each scored 17 points and grabbed 11 rebounds. Forward
Miguel Haboosh added 12 points and five boards for the Lightning.
Lehman continues CUNYAC action on Monday when it travels to take on Hunter College at 7 pm.
