Madison, NJ – The Lehman College women's tennis team dropped an 8-1 decision to FDU earlier today in a non-conference tilt in Madison, NJ.
The Lightning (4-6) lone victory came at third doubles where
Joanna Rosario and
Leslie Juanacio prevailed 8-6. FDU won the other two doubles matches by the identical score of 8-2. The Devils (3-0) won each of the singles matches in straight sets. The most competitive match was at second singles and first singles. In the two hole Lehman's
Diwa Rana took her opponent to three sets before falling 6-0, 3-6, 1-6. Lizavetta Markouskaya came out on the short end of a 7-5, 6-2 decision at first singles.
The Lightning return to action at Noon on Saturday as the Bulldogs of Brooklyn College visit the APEX Courts.
