Bronx, N.Y. – Five Lehman College athletic teams will be in action on Saturday as (men's and women's) cross country squads along with women's sides of soccer and volleyball will be on the road, while men's soccer is at home.
Women's Volleyball At CUNYAC Tri-Match
The Lightning (2-16; 1-2 CUNYAC)) are look to end their six-match losing streak when they compete in a conference tri-match on Saturday at Manhattan's Arc Arena. Lehman will take on hosts Baruch College (10-4; 2-0 CUNYAC) at 10 am and then square off against Medgar Evers College (0-12; 0-2 CUNYAC) at noon. Fans can follow all of the action online via

The Bearcats have won 15 of 17 head-to-head encounters against the Lightning since 2004. The previous meeting between the two sides took place on October 8, 2018, with Baruch winning in five sets (22-25, 25-20, 25-15, 21-25, 15-7) at The APEX Main Gym.
Franchesca Acevedo had six kills and 15 digs, while
Ariana Pradieu added four digs for the Lightning.
Meanwhile, Lehman has defeated Medgar Evers in 12 consecutive matches, since 2010, and have won 11 straight game sets. The last time both squads faced off was on October 23, 2018, at The APEX with the Lightning winning in three sets (26-24, 25-15, 25-11). Acevedo recorded two kills and three service aces for Lehman.
Women's Soccer Travels To Staten Island
The Lightning (3-8) will travel to Staten Island, N.Y. to face former CUNYAC rival, College of Staten Island (4-5) on Saturday at 11:30 am. Fans can follow all of the action online via

Both squads have not seen action since last Saturday (Oct. 5
th), when Lehman dropped a 3-0 non-conference decision at Old Westbury, while Staten Island defeated hosts CCNY, 3-0.
The Dolphins have won 11 of 12 head-to-head match-ups against the Lightning, since 2012. In the previous encounter, held on Oct. 31, 2018, Staten Island posted a 5-0 win during the CUNYAC Championship Semifinals at Brooklyn College. Lehman goalkeeper

Aiming to secure their 11

A win by Lehman over Baruch can place the Lightning in the driver's seat for a playoff spot to the CUNYAC Championships. However, the Lightning are coming off a 2-1 loss at College of Staten Island this past Monday. Meanwhile, the Bearcats dropped a 4-3 CUNYAC game to visiting Hunter College on Wednesday.
Baruch holds a 7-3-1 head-to-head record against Lehman. The last time both squads met, the Bearcats won 2-0 during conference postseason semifinals, at Brooklyn College on Oct. 30, 2018. Goalkeeper

Cross Country Squads Head To Long Island
Both (men's and women's) Lightning squads will head to Bethpage, Long Island to compete at Golden Eagle Invitational, hosted by St. Joseph's College-LI, starting at noon.
Lehman is coming off a strong performance at the 12
th Annual MSMC (Mount Saint Mary College-NY) Knight Invitational at Hudson Valley Sports Dome last weekend. The men's side finished 14
th, while women's took 15
th position.
Max Dell-Thibodeau paced the Lightning men taking the 24th position at individual 8K at MSMC Invitational clocking in at 29:16, while on the women's individual 6K,
Glory Odeh finished at 14th spot for Lehman at a time of 26:17.
