Volleyball Splits at CUNYAC Tri-Match

New York, NY – The Lehman College volleyball team split matches today as the Lightning fell to Baruch 3-0 before defeating Medgar Evers 3-0.

Against Baruch, the Lightning fell by scores of 25-18, 25-10 and 25-11.  Franchesca Acevedo led the way for Lehman with seven kills.  Heder Rodriguez tallied a team high 13 assists while Andrea Alarcon recorded eight digs.   

Against The Cougars, the Lightning prevailed by scores of 25-19, 25-19 and 25-18.  Alarcon and Acevedo carried the load with seven kills apiece.  Acevedo was credited with five services aces.  Rodriguez registered 20 assists and Yari Peguero paced the team with 13 digs. 
 
The Lightning return to action on Thursday, October 17 to face John Jay in a CUNYAC showdown.  First serve is scheduled for 7 PM.
