Women’s Volleyball Drop Matches To Albertus Magnus, St. Joseph’s-LI

Patchogue, N.Y. – The Lehman College women's volleyball team dropped a pair of non-conference matches to Albertus Magnus College and hosts St. Joseph's College-LI on Saturday.

The Lightning (2-16) lost in three sets (15-25, 19-25, 12-25) to home team Golden Eagles (6-9) in the opener.  Franchesca Acevedo paced Lehman with eight kills and four blocks, while Heder Rodriguez dished out 13 assists along with six digs and two aces.

The Lightning then dropped three straight (14-25, 19-25, 11-25) to the Falcons (7-10) in the nightcap. Acevedo had seven kills for Lehman, while Chrissy Tran added eight digs and Rodriguez posted 14 assists.   

The Lightning return to CUNYAC action next weekend when they compete in a tri-match against Medgar Evers College and hosts Baruch College.
