Men’s Basketball Falls To Purchase

Purchase, N.Y. – The Lehman College men's basketball team fell by a score of 93-85 to hosts Purchase College in a non-conference encounter on Tuesday evening.  The Lightning drop to a 1-4 record, while the Panthers improve to a 2-4 mark.

With Purchase leading by as many as 20 points in the second half, Lehman battled back cut the deficit to five (85-80) with 1:21 remaining the game.  However, the Panthers outscored the Lightning 8 to 5 to hold on to the victory.

Forward Isaiah Geathers led Lehman with 24 points, while guard Gian Batista and forward Mo Idrissou each added 14 points in the loss.

The Lightning return to action on December 3rd to begin the first of six-game homestand at The APEX Main Gym when they commence CUNYAC play against John Jay College at 7 pm.
