Bronx, N.Y. – The Lehman College men's and women's swimming/diving teams will have its first dual meet of the 2019-20 season when it hosts non-conference opponent College at Old Westbury at The APEX Pool with the first event set for 6 pm.
The Lightning began their campaign last week at the SLC/TYR Sprint Carnival event, hosted by Sarah Lawrence College, where the men's side took third place, while the women finished seventh.
Anton Kyrylenko paced Lehman men's squad at the Sarah Lawrence event capturing the gold in the 50 freestyle at a time of 24.80, while taking runner up spots in the 50 backstroke (31.91) and butterfly (26.77). On the women's side, last year's CUNYAC Championship MVP -
Sarina Eshtiaghi, continued where she left off as she claimed first-place in the 50 backstroke (29.14) and freestyle (27.06).
Meanwhile, the Panthers of Old Westbury are currently winless in dual action this season with the men's squad are 0-2, while the women's side have a 0-3 mark.
The last time Lightning-Panthers faced off at a dual meet was on November 7, 2018, at Old Westbury's Clark Aquatic Center with Lehman posting a sweeping victory as men's won 114-81, while the women topped 43-13.
