Bronx, N.Y. – The Lehman College men's and women's swimming/diving teams swept a non-conference dual meet against visiting College at Old Westbury, 93-60 and 83-55, respectively, at The APEX Pool on Wednesday
The Lightning finished first in 15 total events on the evening as the men's and women's sides improve to 1-0 records, respectively, while the Panthers remaining winless this seasons (0-3 men; 0-4 women).
Cesar Zungia won the 200 Men's Freestyle at a time of 2:15.26, while
Daniel O'Neill took 200 IM clocking in at 2:37.97.
Raymond Burdier finished first in the 100 Freestyle (1:02.09), while
Juan Rodriguez was atop of 100 Backstroke (1:11.81). Burdier, Rodriguez,
Rinaldi Hernandez and
Anton Kyrylenko were on the winning 200 Medley Relay side for Lehman at a time of 1:56.58.
On the women's side, last year's CUNYAC Championships MVP,
Sarina Eshtiaghi continued where she left off as the won three events on Wednesday evening: 200 Freestyle (2:12.33), 200 IM (2:32.50) and 100 Backstroke (1:03.96).
Christina Hitchman also captured 50 and 100 Freestyle races clocking in at 28.19 and 1:05.86, respectively. Also winning for the Lightning women were the team of
Arlette Garcia-Estudillo,
Claudia Guerrero,
Citlalli Cureno and
Xhesika Malecaj which claimed the 200 Medley Relay at a time of 3:10.30.
Lehman will be back in action on November 13
th when its women's team welcomes CUNYAC rival Hunter College in a dual meet set for 6 pm.
