Bronx, NY – The Lehman College Swim teams split with Maritime College as the Lightning women prevailed 98-95 while the Lehman men dropped a 154-63.
The Lehman women took the first event of the night as the 200 yard medley relay squad of
Sarina Eshtiaghi,
Sheila Davila,
Patricia Gonzalez and
Christina Hitchman posted a 2:17.71 to win the event. Eshtiaghi also captured the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 2:11.14. Eshtiaghi prevailed in her third event of the night with a time of 1:03.27 in the 100 yard backstroke. Claudia Guererro won the 500 yard freestyle in a time of 8:19.44 while
Elizabeth DelaCruz earned second place.
On the men's side
Anton Kyrylenko won the 200 IM with a time of 2:16.85. Kyrylenko also won the 100 breaststroke in a time of 1:07.02
Esgardo Castelan captured the diving events with 145.65 points in the one meter event and 151.58 points in the 3 meter event.
The Lightning return to the pool on Thursday night evening to face the Dolphins of the College of Staten Island.
