Bronx, N.Y. – The Lehman College men's and women's swimming/diving team dropped a dual non-conference meet to visiting College of Staten Island (CSI) at The APEX pool on Thursday.
The Lightning men (2-3) lost 159-60 to the Dolphins (4-1), while the women (3-3) fell 128-69 CSI (4-2).
The highlight for Lehman came in the women's events as
Sarina Eshtiaghi won the 100 Butterfly and 100 Backstroke clocking in at 1:05.86 and 1:04.94, respectively. Eshtiaghi was also part of the winning 200 Medley Relay team along with
Patricia Gonzalez, Christina Hichman and
Paola Gonzalez finishing with a time of 2:19.99.
On the men's side,
Anton Kyrylenko took second in the 100 Freestyle (53.74), while
Esgardo Castelan finished runner-up in the one-meter (160.80) and three-meter diving (16.2.15) events.
The Lightning will return to action on January 9, 2020, when they hosts Baruch College in a CUNYAC Dual Meet set for 6 pm.
