Bronx, N.Y. – The Lehman College men's volleyball team dropped a pair of 3-0 CUNYAC matches at home, against Baruch and John Jay, respectively, at The APEX Main Gym on Monday.
The Lightning (2-7; 0-2 CUNYAC) lost three straight sets (25-8, 25-18, 25-14) against the Baruch Bearcats (5-7; 2-0 CUNYAC) in the opener.
Outside hitter
Will Eschenbach paced Lehman with four kills, while middle hitter Kris Rodriguez had three kills, and setter
George Montilla dished out eight assists with two digs in the loss.
The Lightning then lost their second conference match of the day, 27-25, 25-18, 30-28, to visiting John Jay Bloodhounds ( 6-5; 1-1 CUNYAC).
Rodriguez led Lehman with 10 kills and three blocks, while Eschenbach had eight kills and Montilla added 14 assists along with 10 digs.
The Lightning are back in action next Sunday (Feb. 24
th) when they host Yeshiva University in a non-conference match-up at The APEX at 2 pm.
