Bronx, N.Y. – The Lehman College men's volleyball team dropped its home opener, 3-1 to New Jersey City University (NJCU) in a non-conference match-up at The APEX Main Gym on Tuesday evening. 

The Lightning fall to 1-5 mark on the season, while the Gothic Knights improve to 2-2 record.

After dropping the first two sets (18-25, 13-25), Lehman battled back and won the third game, 25-23.  However, NJCU stopped any further chances of a comeback by the hosts as it took the fourth set, 14-25, and claim the match.

OH – Will Eschenbach paced the Lightning with five kills and nine digs, while MH – Kris Rodriguez also had five kills and eight digs.  Setter George Montilla added four kills, 12 assists and five digs.

Lehman begins CUNYAC play next Tuesday (February 12^th) when it visits CCNY at 4 pm.
