Baseball Falls to Golden Eagles

Patchogue, NY – The Lehman College baseball team fell 11-1 to St. Joseph's – LI in a non-league encounter at Greg Alfano Field on the Long Island campus.  Lehman now stands at 2-10.

The Golden Eagles, playing their season opener, got on the board during their first at bat plating two runs on a pair of hits.  St. Joes added two more runs in the third before the Lightning got on the board in the fourth inning.  Emmanuel Frias led off the frame with a double and advanced to third on a sacrifice by Anthony Riley.  Frias later scored on a pinch hit sacrifice fly to left field by Will Diaz.  St. Joes got the run back in their half of the inning and then added four more in the eighth for the final margin of victory. 

Frias led the Lightning attack with a pair of hits. 

The Lightning have now dropped seven in a row and  return to action tomorrow when they travel to Bronx rival Maritime College for a 7 PM tilt.
