Baseball Drops Twin-Bill To CSI

Staten Island, N.Y. – The Lehman College baseball team dropped both CUNYAC games of twin-bill to hosts College of Staten Island (CSI) on Sunday at CSI Baseball Complex.  The Lightning fall to 7-19 record and 1-5 in CUNYAC, while the Dolphins improve to 13-15 mark and 5-4 in conference play.
 
Lehman dropped the opener by a score of 15-6 as the visitors pitching gave up 25 hits through seven innings.  On offense, catcher Anthony Riley went 2-for-4 with two RBI for the Lightning, while infielder Emmanuel Frias went 2-for-2 with a run scored and an RBI.
 
In the nightcap, Lehman lost 7-5.  Infielder Mark Vargas paced the Lightning with a three-run homer, while outfielder Fernando Polanco went 2-for-4 with an RBI.
 
Lehman returns to action on Tuesday when it travels to take on Manhattanville College in a non-conference game starting at 3:30 pm.
