Bronx, N.Y. – For a ninth consecutive season, the Lehman College softball team will compete at CUNYAC Championships, starting this Friday, as it takes on hosts College of Staten Island (CSI) in the double-elimination tournament, starting 12:15 pm.

The Lightning, who are the third seeded team in CUNYAC postseason, concluded the regular season with a 13-18 overall record and 8-4 in conference play.  Meanwhile, the second seeded-Dolphins have a 15-15 mark and 10-2 in CUNYAC.   Hunter College (18-9; 11-1 CUNYAC) is number one seed in the postseason double-elimination tournament and will take on John Jay College (13-19; 7-5 CUNYAC), which is fourth seed.  

Both Lehman-CSI faced off this past Wednesday at South Field with the visiting Dolphins sweeping a conference twin-bill (7-0; 15-0).

Prior to this week, the last time the Lightning took on the Dolphins was during the CUNYAC tournament final as the hosts CSI captured the title by a score of 4-1 on May 5, 2018.
