Box Score Wayne, NJ – The Lehman College women's tennis team improved to 4-0 after blanking William Paterson 9-0 on the road Tuesday afternoon in a non-conference affair. The Pioneers fall to 0-2.
Each three of Lehman's doubles team won by the identical score of 8-1. Playing without her usual partner,
Lizaveta Markouskaya was paired with
Joanna Rosario at first doubles. While
Celine Figueroa played with
Cien Estuye in the two hole and
Leslie Juanacio and
Yohara Molineros rounded out the final doubles team.
In singles play Markouskaya, playing number one, won at love. Figueroa prevailed in the two hole 6-2, 6-0. Rosario's match at third singles was the closest of the afternoon but the reigning CUNYAC Player of the Week triumphed 6-2, 6-4. Molineros captured fourth singles by the score of 6-2, 6-1. In the fifth and sixth spot Estuye and Juanacio won by the identical score of 6-1, 6-1.
The Lightning return to the APEX Courts for a quick two match home stand as they host Rutgers-Newark on Thursday afternoon and Farmingdale on Monday.
