Bronx, N.Y. – Two Lehman College athletic women's teams will be in action on Wednesday as volleyball squad competes at home, while soccer side is on the road.
The Lightning women's soccer (0-2) will aim for their first victory of the season as it travels New Jersey to take on non-conference opponent Rutgers-Newark (0-2) at Frederick Douglass Field at 5 pm.
Lehman is coming two straight losses at Salisbury University Classic over the weekend, while Rutgers-Newark dropped consecutive home matches (vs. NYU, Bryn Mawr College).
The last time Lightning-Scarlet Raiders faced off on soccer field was on August 31, 2018, and it ended in a scoreless draw at South Field. Lehman goalkeeper

Rounding out Wednesday's action, is Lehman's volleyball squad (0-2) as it welcomes College at Old Westbury (0-0) and Yeshiva University (0-3) in a non-conference tri-match at The APEX Main Gym at 6 pm and 8 pm, respectively. All three squads are looking for its first victory of the season.

The Lightning have won seven of 10 encounters against Panthers of Old Westbury since 2007, which includes six of the last seven. In the previous meeting, Old Westbury ended a six match head-to-head losing streak against Lehman with a three set victory (15-25, 17-25, 19-25) on September 4, 2017 at The APEX Main Gym.
The Lightning hold an undefeated record of 5-0, since 2008 against Yeshiva Maccabees, with the last encounter coming on Aug. 31, 2018, with Lehman winning on the road in three straight sets (25-17, 25-18, 25-10).
