Bronx, N.Y. – The Lehman College men's and women's swimming/diving teams will visit York College-NY for a CUNYAC dual meet set for 6 pm at York College Natatorium in Jamaica, N.Y.
The Lightning men (2-5; 0-1 CUNYAC) are coming off a 111-94 non-conference loss at William Paterson University over the weekend, while the Lehman women (3-5; 0-2 CUNYAC) also dropped a 104-86 decision to hosts Pioneers.
Meanwhile, the Cardinals men's side (0-5; 0-2 CUNYAC) lost a non-conference meet, 105-75, at Western Connecticut State on January 7
th. Meanwhile, the York-NY women (0-7; 0-3 CUNYAC) dropped a, 64-20 conference match-up at Hunter College last Friday (Jan. 10
th).
The Lightning men have won 12 consecutive meets against the Cardinals since 2008. The last encounter between the two sides took place on Jan. 15, 2019, at The APEX Pool with hosts winning 85-72. Lehman won a combined 10 events (eight – individual; two team relays).
The Lightning women hold a 12-1 head-to-head record against the Cardinals since 2007. The previous meeting between the two squad was also held on Jan. 15, 2019, with Lehman defeating York-NY for the 12
th consecutive time, 79-55.
Christina Hitchman led the way capturing the 100 and 200 freestyle events clocking in at 1:12.91 and 2:42.80, respectively.
Sheila Davila finished on top at the 100 butterfly (1:43.59.). Rounding out the events,
Sarina Eshtiaghi clocked in at 5:50.91 during an exhibition at combined 500 freestyle that was a Lehman record best time since 1977 (5:58.00).
