Bronx, N.Y. – The Lehman College women's swimming teams will hosts John Jay College in a CUNYAC dual meet set for 6 pm on Thursday at The APEX Pool.
The Lightning hold a 4-5 overall record and are 1-2 in CUNYAC, while the Bloodhounds have a 3-3 mark and 2-2
in conference play.
Lehman is coming off a 120-57 CUNYAC road victory
at York College-NY on Tuesday. Meanwhile, John Jay posted a 100-89 victory against CUNYAC rival Brooklyn College but then lost 125-74 to hosts and former conference member - College of Staten Island on Wednesday.
The Bloodhounds hold a 9-6 head-to-head record against the Lightning since 2004, however Lehman has won three of the last four meetings. The previous match-up between the two sides took place on January 18, 2019, at The APEX Pool with John Jay earning a 116-87 road victory.
Sarina Eshtiaghi led the way for Lehman as she won all three of her respective events: Captured the 1000 freestyle clocking in at 12:33.94; took top spot in the 200 individual medley (2:27.20); and then completed the three-event sweep claiming the 100 butterfly at a time of 1:08.70.
