Brooklyn, N.Y. – Five players scored in double-figures as the Lehman College men's basketball posted its sixth straight victory as it defeated hosts Medgar Evers College, 95-85, in a CUNYAC match-up on Saturday at Cougars Cave. The Lightning improve to 7-5 overall mark and 2-1 in CUNYAC, while the Cougars fall to 3-9 record and 0-2 in conference play.
Lehman jumped out to a 49-34 at the intermission after shooting 62 percent from the field, including 50 % from three-point arc.
In the second stanza, the Lightning led by as many as 23 points. The Cougars tried to stage a late comeback going on a 25 to 12 run, however, the visitors held on for the victory.

Isaiah Geathers led Lehman offense with 29 points, while guard
Gian Batista had his third 'double-double' of the season as he notched 21 points along with a career-best 12 assists. Guard
Ocean Scott also had a Lehman-best on Saturday as he registered 15 points coming off the bench, while teammate
Tommy Batista recorded 12 points and six assists. Forward
Mo Idrissou rounded out the Lightning players in double-figures with 11.
Lehman will be back in Brooklyn next Wednesday (January 8
th) when it faces CUNYAC rival Brooklyn College at 7 pm.
