Bronx, N.Y. – The Lehman College swimming/diving team dropped a CUNYAC dual match against visiting Baruch College on Wednesday at The APEX Pool as men's side lost 159-57, while the women's squad fell 97-83.
The Lightning men go to a 2-4 record and 0-1 CUNYAC, while the women's team drop to 3-4 mark and 0-2 in conference play. The Bearcats men improve to 8-2 ledger and 3-0 in CUNYAC, while the women's side go to 9-4 record and 4-0 in conference play.
Wednesday's meet also bid farewell to
Raymond Burdier,
Esgardo Castelan,
Sheila Davila,
Cindy Hernandez,
Christina Hitchman,
Samantha Racelis,
Genesis Ramos and
William Marin-Vidals, whom all competed in their final regular season home meet with Lehman.
The highlights for the Lightning came on the women's side as
Sarina Eshtiaghi won the 100 Backstroke in a time of 1:02.32, while
Patricia Gonzalez took the 100 Breaststroke clocking in at 1:32.54. Also,
Olivia Asher, Davila,
Dalquidia Paredes and
Genesis Ramos were on the winning side for Lehman in the 200 Freestyle Relay (2:23.40).
On the men's side, Castelan won both one and three meter diving for the Lightning scoring 152.25 and 136.88, respectively, while
Anton Kyrylenko claimed first place in the 100 Breaststroke at a time of 1:06.06.
Lehman will be back in action on Saturday when it travels to take on William Paterson University in a non-conference dual meet.
