Lightning Drop a Pair of Non-Conference Matches

Union, NJ – The Lehman College men's volleyball team dropped a pair of non-conference matches earlier today at the Kean University Tri-Match.  The Lightning (2-6) fell to host Kean University and Messiah College in straight sets.
 
In the opener, the Lightning fell by scores of 25-11, 25-12 and 25-17 against Kean.  Peter Veljovic led the Lightning attack with six kills.  Mentor Mahmuti registered seven assists and eight digs.  In the nightcap against Messiah, the Lightning also fell in straight sets, 25-9, 25-11 and 25-16.  Veljovic once again led the way with four kills.  Mahmuti registered seven assists and a pair of aces.  Christian Agudo added seven digs.
 
The Lightning return home on Tuesday night to battle Sarah Lawrence.  First serve is scheduled for 7 PM.  Earlier this season, Lehman defeated Sarah Lawrence.
