Box Score 2 Fort Myers, Fla. – The Lehman College softball dropped a pair of games in Florida, falling to Drew University 18-2 and the Clark University 14-4.
Stephany Cruz got the Lightning on the scoreboard in the second inning against the Rangers as she drove home
Lisette Guerrero who reached earlier in the inning on a Drew fielding miscue. Lehman's second run came in the bottom of the fifth.
Doribel Duran led off the frame by with a hit by pitch and was moved to second after a sacrifice bunt by Cruz.
Anjolie Alexander drove home Cruz with a single to right field.
In game two against Clark, the Lightning were able to plate four runs all in the fourth inning when they batted around. Alexander led off the frame in the fourth getting hit by pitch. That was followed by three consecutive walks to Briana Valdez,
Xiomara Feliz-Urena and
Tiffany Adames.
Juanita Jimenez then delivered a two-run double. A Cruz single rounded out the Lightning scoring.
Lehman concludes their Florida trip with two more games tomorrow. Lehman will face the Coast Guard Academy at 9 AM followed by a 1 pm encounter with Kenyon.
