Box Score Bronx, N.Y. – The Lehman College women's volleyball team fell in three straight sets (17-25, 17-25, 11-25) to visiting Bard College in a non-conference match on Tuesday evening at The APEX Main Gym. The Lightning drop to an 0-7 record, while the Raptors improve to 5-8 mark.
Lehman jumped out to a 6-2 lead in the first set, however, Bard went a 13-4 run to take a 15-10 advantage and force the host to take a time-out. Following the time-out, the Raptors outscored the Lightning 10-7 to take the first game (25-17).
After dropping the second set by the same score (25-17), Lehman once again took an early lead, 2-1, in the third game. However, it would be the last advantage for the Lightning as the Raptors went on a 24 to 10 run to win the match.
Doribel Duran Ubiera led the Lehman offense with three kills and five digs.
Andrea Alarcon added five service aces along with six digs, while
Heder Rodriguez dished out four assists and grabbed eight digs for the Lightning.
Lehman continues its home stand at The APEX Main Gym on Wednesday when it welcomes Pratt Institute in a non-conference match-up at 7 pm ET.
