Bronx, N.Y. – The Lehman College swimming teams fell to visiting Maritime College in a non-conference dual meet at The APEX Pool on Tuesday evening as men dropped a 176-23 decision, while the women's squad lost 117-56.
 
The Lightning women's (1-3) action against the Privateers (2-5) were highlighted by Paola Gonzalez who claimed silver in the 200 Freestyle (1:25.84) and 100 Butterfly (3:03.63), while Ofelia Valadez also finished second in the 200 IM (1:21.22) and 100 Backstroke (1:21.36).
 
Carlos Alonso claimed the bronze medal in the 500 Freestyle for the Lehman men (0-3) against Maritime (6-0) as he clocked in at 6:30.30.
 
The Lightning return to action in 2022 when they welcome Baruch College in a CUNYAC action on January 6^th at 6 pm ET.
