Bronx, N.Y. – For the first time since Fall 2019, Lehman College women's tennis will see action at The APEX Courts this afternoon when it meets non-conference rival Sarah Lawrence College in its home season opener at 4 pm ET.
 
The Lightning are under the direction of former assistant coach Jeff Nerenberg are coming off a 6-3 exhibition loss at non-conference opponent Manhattanville College over the weekend, while Gryphons have opened their campaign with consecutive victories against Bard College (7-2) and at Brooklyn College (6-3).
 
Sarah Lawrence holds a slim 8-7 edge in the head-to-head encounters against Lehman since 1992, however the Lightning have won the last three outings.
 
The previous meeting between the two sides took place on the October 11, 2019, at The APEX Court with the hosts easily winning via shutout 9-0.
