The Lehman College women's tennis team returned to the APEX Tennis Courts on Saturday afternoon for an out of conference showdown with the Knights of Mount Saint Mary College. The Lightning saw wins at the top doubles and singles spot, but ultimately fell 7-2.

Viola Avdyli, won 8-0 at #1 doubles. Avdyli also won at the top singles spot, 6-3, 6-1. The rest of the matches went the way of the Mount, with Rosario dropping #2 singles after taking a first set 7-5. After losing the second by the same score, a 10-point tiebreaker in lieu of 3rd set went to the Mount, 10-7. The loss moves Lehman to 1-2 on the season.
The Lightning return to action on Tuesday at home against their first CUNYAC opponent of the year, John Jay College. First serve is 4 PM on the APEX Courts.
