Bronx, N.Y. – The Lehman College men's soccer team extended its home unbeaten streak to seven games after defeating Purchase College, 2-1, in overtime, in a non-conference encounter at South Field on Monday evening. The Lightning improve to 2-1-1 overall record, while the Panthers drop to 1-1 mark on the season.

Mohammad Jagne had both goals for Lehman as he scored the first in 22
nd minute of opening half from 30 yards out.
In the second stanza, Purchase got the equalizer off a shot from defender Bart Moroney in the 55
th minute-mark.
The Lightning pushed for the game-winner in the regulation and out shot the Panthers 11 to 5, however, Purchase goalkeeper Travis Stella had seven saves to keep the score leveled going into overtime.
In the first extra time period, Stella made two more saves however he was unable to stop the game-winner, via penalty kick, by Jagne with 26 seconds remaining. The penalty was awarded to Lehman after a hand ball inside the 18-yard box by Purchase defender. Jagne fired the 12-yard shot for his fourth tally of the season.
Lehman returns to action on Thursday when it travels to Danbury, Conn. to take on Western Connecticut State in a non-conference game set for 6 pm ET.
