Isaiah Geathers earned another 'double-double' scoring 27 points while grabbing 13 rebounds as he helped the Lehman College men's basketball team to earn its seventh consecutive victory of the season after defeating visiting CCNY, 81-70, in CUNYAC match-up on Monday evening at The APEX Main Gym. The Lightning improve to 9:1 overall ledger and perfect 3-0 in CUNYAC play, while the Beavers drop to 4-5 mark and 0-1 in conference action.
After Lehman held a six-point lead (39-32) in the intermission, CCNY battled back and cut the hosts lead to three (51-48) with 12:32 remaining in the second half. Then, the Lightning went on a 19 to 7 run for a 15-point advantage with 3:29 left and eventual held on for the victory.
Gian Batista added 21 points, five assists and three steals, while
Marquese Johnson scored a career-best 11 points for Lehman.
The Lightning return to action on Wednesday for another CUNYAC encounter as they hosts York College-NY at The APEX Main Gym at 7 pm ET.
