Bronx, N.Y. – The hosts Lehman College women's basketball team posted its first CUNYAC victory of the season after topping CCNY, 65-26, on Monday evening at The APEX Main Gym.  The Lightning improve to a 2-6 overall record and 1-1 in CUNYAC, while the Beavers drop to 0-5 mark and 0-1 in conference play.
 
After taking a 14-3 lead going into the second quarter, Lehman finished the half with a 25-6 run for a 39-9 advantage.
 
In final two periods, Lehman held CCNY to just 21 percent shooting from the field as it cruised to its 21^st overall head-to-head victory since 2008.
 
Mojisola Shokeye led the Lightning offense with 21 points along with seven steals, while Brianna Barnes' posted her sixth 'double-double' of the season scoring 20 points with 15 rebounds.
 
Lehman returns to CUNYAC action on Wednesday as it hosts York College-NY at The APEX Main Gym.
