Wayne, N.J. – The Lehman College men's and women's swimming teams competed in a non-conference tri-meet against Suny-Delhi and hosts William Paterson University on Friday at Wightman Pool.
The highlight for the Lightning men were
Carlos Alonso and
Andres Estrella whom won the 100 Backstroke (1:10.40) and Breaststroke (1:17.60), respectively.
Brendan McManus finished second in each of those events clocking in at 1:28.85 and 1:17.64 in Backstroke and Breaststroke, respectively.
On the women's side,
Ofelia Valadez led the way for Lehman as she claimed gold in the 100 Breaststroke with a time of 1:28.83. Valadez was also on the winning 200 Freestyle Relay along with
Paola Gonzalez, Elizabeth DeLaCruz and
Patricia Gonzalez as they finished with a time of 2:23.20.
The Lightning are back in action next week when they hosts Baruch College on Monday at 1 pm ET.
