Bronx, NY - In a CUNYAC swim meet earlier today, the Lightning men and women came up short against the visiting Bearcats.  Baruch won the women's meet 86-51 and the men's meet 92-35. 
 
The Baruch women started the meet unopposed in the first three events, 200-yard medley relay, 1000 yard freestyle and 200 yard freestyle and never looked back cruising to victory.  Ofelia Valadez captured gold in the 100 yard butterfly in a time of 1:15.08. 
 
The Lightning men also struggled to get off the starting blocks.  Baruch captured every event. 
 
The Lightning are scheduled to back in action on Tuesday evening as they host Brooklyn College in another CUNYAC dual meet.  Action from the APEX Aquatic Center is scheduled to get underway at 6 PM.
