Jamaica, N.Y. – For the first time this season, the Lehman College women's tennis team won all its respective encounters for 9-0 shutout victory against hosts York College-NY in a CUNYAC action at YC Courts on Friday. The Lightning go to a 2-7 overall record and 1-2 in CUNYAC play, while the Cardinals fall to 0-3 mark and 0-2 in conference action.

Effie Pang won their respective doubles matches, both by the same scores of 8-0. Meanwhile, the team of
Clairef Ventura /
Charlee Stallings were victorious in #3 doubles action posting an 8-3 score.
In singles competitions: Avdyl (#1), Lopez (#2) and Stallings (#6) each won their matches by 6-0, 6-0; while Grande (#3) and Pang (#4) triumphed with scores of 6-0, 6-1.
The #5 singles encounter was the most competitive on Friday as Lehman's
Shelby Gonzalez was victorious over York-NY's Taylor Bellmon, 6-4, 7-6.
The Lightning will now compete at the CUNYAC Postseason Tournament which begins on Sunday (October 23
rd).
