New York, N.Y. – Outside hitter Selena Mitchell had a 'double-double' with 18 kills and 13 digs to pace the Lehman College women's volleyball team to a three to one non-conference victory (25-13, 16-25, 25-23, 25-19) against hosts Yeshiva University in the regular season finale on Monday at Arc Arena. The Lightning concluded the regular campaign with a 6-15 overall record, while the Maccabees dropped to 1-15 mark.
After splitting the first two sets, Lehman took control and claimed the last two to win the match.
Setter Heder Rodriguez also had a 'double-double' for the Lightning as she dished out 32 assists, while grabbing 13 digs. Rodriguez added six service aces, while libero Lizbeth Perez had 24 digs.
The sixth seeded Lehman will travel tomorrow (Tuesday) to face third seeded John Jay College in the opening round of the CUNYAC Championships with first serve set for 7 pm ET.
