The Lehman College women's tennis team played their first conference tennis match of the season today hosting Brooklyn College.  The Bulldogs came away with the 7-2 victory to earn their first victory of the season.  They now stand at 1-6 overall and 1-2 in the CUNYAC.  The Lightning are 0-4:0-1. 
 
Viola Avdyli picked up both of the points for the Lightning.  The sophomore prevailed at first singles 6-1, 6-0.  She also teamed up with Caroline Lopez at first doubles to come away with an 8-3 victory.
 
The Lightning return to action on Tuesday, October 11 to face always tough Baruch at 3:30 PM on the APEX Courts.
