Women’s Soccer Tie Yeshiva In Season Finale

Box Score Bronx, N.Y. – The Lehman College women's soccer team concluded its season with a 1-1 draw against visiting Yeshiva University in a non-conference encounter at South Field on Tuesday.  The Lightning end the campaign with a 2-10-1 overall record, while the Maccabees 0-13-1 mark.

Prior to the game, the Lehman Athletic Department honored seniors Jackie Gonzalez, Lexxis Irizarry and Nancy Ordaz Tepanecatl as they played their final game for the Lightning.

Forward Maria Martinez got Lehman on the board scoring her first collegiate tally after defeating two Yeshiva defenders and the goalkeeper (Sophie Dubin) in the 10th minute-mark.

The Maccabees got the equalizer in the 71st minute when forward Linda Dayan got a loose ball in the penalty box that came off a corner kick and bounced off several Lightning defenders and beat goalkeeper Josefina Flores.
