Bronx, N.Y. – The Lehman College swimming teams were victorious on Monday evening at The APEX Pool as in the men's side, in a double-dual meet, topped visiting Purchase College 103-88 and York College-NY 122-42; while the women's squad defeated the Purchase Panthers 120-102.
 
The Lightning men (2-2) were led by Romulo Valadez as he finished first in the three individual events:  200 Medley Relay Back, 50 Back (28.95), 100 Back (1:03.42), and was part of the winning 200 Medley Relay along with Brahian Castillo, Andres Estrella and Christopher Ramirez.
 
Hallester Jimenez also claimed gold in three men's events as he clocked in first in the 200 Freestyle (1:47.33), 100 Butterfly (54.81) and 100 Freestyle (47.91).  Estrella also finished first in the 50 Breaststroke at a time of 32.76.
 
In the women's events, Arlene Suzana led the way for Lehman as she captured the gold in the 100 Backstroke (1:11.09), 100 Butterfly (1:09.97) and 200 Freestyle (2:27.82).  Suzana was also part of the first-place 200 Medley Relay (2:19.90) team along with Xitali Martinez, Ofelia Valadez, Mariana Valdez-Martinez
 
Xitali Martinez and Valadez also finished first in the 50 Breaststroke (42.31) and 100 Breaststroke (1:26.14), respectively.
 
The Lightning return to action on December 2^nd when they compete in the ECACs.
