Women’s Basketball Fall To Juniata College

Harrisburg, Pa. – Despite center Brianna Barnes scoring 17 points, nine rebounds and five steals, the Lehman College women's basketball team fell 73-60 to Juniata College in the opening encounter of Pride-Spirit-Honor Tournament, hosted by Penn State Harrisburg, on Saturday evening at Capital Union Building.  The Lightning dropped to a 2-2 overall record, while the Eagles improved to a 2-4 mark.

After the sides were tied at 21 with 5:18 remaining in the second quarter, Juniata went on an 11 to 7 run to take a four-point lead going into the intermission.

The Eagles then outscored the Lightning 25-14 in the third period to increase their advantage to 15 points and later in the fourth quarter led by as many as 19 on their way to victory.

Guard Mojisola Shokeye added 13 points with eight boards for Lehman, while Ramatoulaye Diallo had 12 points, eight steals and five rebounds.

The Lightning will take on Clarks Summit University, which lost to the hosts Penn State Harrisburg (86-57), in the tournament's consolation game on Sunday (November 27th) at Capital Union Building with tip-off set for 1 pm ET.
