Harrisburg, Pa. – A 'double-double' of 23 points and 13 rebounds by center Brianna Barnes wasn't enough as the Lehman College women's basketball team dropped an 80-61 decision to Clarks Summit University during the consolation game of the Pride-Spirit-Honor Tournament, hosted by Penn State Harrisburg, on Sunday at Capital Union Building. The Lightning fell to a 2-3 overall ledger, while the Defenders improved to a 3-4 mark.
After trailing by only five points (24-19) at the end of the first quarter, Lehman was outscored in the second period 15 to 8 for Clarks Summit's 12-point lead which it later held on for the victory.
Forward Kryshana Levy had 17 points for the Lightning, while teammates Barbara Valentin and Ramatoulaye Diallo both added eight points each.
Lehman commences CUNYAC play on Friday (December 2
nd) when it travels to take on Brooklyn College at West Quad Gymnasium with tip-off set for 7:15 pm ET.
