Brooklyn, N.Y. – Despite 22 points, eight rebounds and seven assists by center
Brianna Barnes the Lehman College women's basketball team dropped its season's CUNYAC opener against hosts Brooklyn College at the West Quad Center on Friday evening. The Lightning fall to a 2-4 overall record and 0-1 in CUNYAC action, while the Bulldogs improve to a 3-4 mark and 1-0 in conference play.
After trailing by as many as 22 in the first half (43-21), Lehman outscored Brooklyn 22 to 17 in the third quarter to commence a possible comeback. However, the Bulldogs went on a 28 to 12 run in the fourth period to seal the victory.

Barbara Valentin notched a career-high for the Lightning with 10 points as she also grabbed six boards, while teammate
Kryshana Levy added eight points.
Lehman returns to action in eight days (December 10
th) as it travels to Massachusetts for a non-conference encounter against Amherst College with tip-off set for 1 pm ET.
