The Lehman College men's basketball team traveled to Clinton, NY to take on the Hamilton College Continentals on the hardwood. Lehman came out on the short end of 74-60 decision to fall to 6-4. Hamilton improves to 7-3.
The Lightning were led by
Isaiah Geathers and
Will Feldman. Geathers, Lehman's all-time leading scorer, scored 16 points while grabbing four rebounds. Feldman, netted 14 points and was credited with six assists.
Hamilton jumped out to an early 8-0 lead however, the Lightning battled back to knot the game at 10 five minutes in. Clinging to a one point lead (15-14), Hamilton went on a 10-0 to take a 25-14 lead with 7:30 minutes to play in the half. The Continentals took a 24-23 lead into the locker room at the break. During the second half the Lightning were never able to bring the deficit to single figures.
The game turned on the Continentals scoring 19 points off Lehman turnovers. Hamilton also held an advantage on second chance points, outscoring the Lightning 15-5.
Lehman will return to the APEX, Wednesdy night to take on St. Josesph's-LI at 7 PM. In a pregame ceremony, the Lightning will recognize Geathers for becoming the all-time leading scorer in program history.
