Kings Points, N.Y. – Forward Brianna Banks' 13 points and seven rebounds were not enough as the Lehman College women's basketball team dropped a 59-41 non-conference decision at U.S. Merchant Marine Academy (USMMA) at O'Harra Hall on Monday evening. The Lightning fell to a 2-6 overall record, while USMMA improved to an 8-1 mark.
After trailing 34-15 at the intermission, Lehman went on a 19 to 9 run in the third quarter to end the deficit to nine points (43-34). However, USMMA outscored the Lightning 16 to 7 for the victory.
Forward Kyrshana Levy notched 10 points with four rebounds for Lehman, while center Myandra "Meme" Duquesnay added eight points with three boards, two blocks and two steals.
Lehman returns to action on Wednesday (December 14
th) when it welcomes FDU-Madison in a non-conference encounter at The APEX Main Gym with tip-off set for 5 pm ET.
