Bronx, N.Y. – Both Lehman College swimming teams lost non-conference meets to visiting Maritime College on Friday evening at The APEX Pool as the men's side dropped a 103-97 decision, while the women's squad fell 116-68.
The Lightning highlight for the men's team (2-3) was
Hallester Jimenez as he went three-for-three in his individual events winning the 100 Butterfly (54.32), 200 IM (2:09.00) and 500 Freestyle (5:09.20).
Romulo Valadez also claimed gold in the 50 Freestyle clocking in at 25.52, while
Brahian Castillo finished first in the 100 Breaststroke with a time of 1:18.68.
On the women's side (1-4), Lehman was led by
Arlene Suzana as won the 50 Freestyle (27.46) and 100 Baskstroke (1:13.12). Mariana Valdez-Martinez captured the gold in the 100 Freestyle with a time of 1:16.45, while
Xitlali Martinez clocked in first in the 100 Breaststroke (1:28.69).
The Lightning will return to action in 2023 when they travel to Brooklyn College for a CUNYAC Dual Meet on January 5
th.
