Bronx, N.Y. – The Lehman College women's basketball team dropped a 55-45 CUNYAC game to visiting York College-NY this afternoon at The APEX Main Gym. The Lightning fall to 3-15 record and 2-9 in CUNYAC play, while the Cardinals improve to 7-8 mark and 6-5 in conference action.
After trailing by nine points (27-18) at the intermission, Lehman staged a come-back and went on a 15 to 8 run in the third period to cut the deficit to two points (35-33).
However, the York-NY opened the fourth quarter with a 10-0 run to take a 43-33 advantage and held on for the rest of the game for the victory.
Mojisola Shokeye led the way for the Lightning with 17 points and eight rebounds, while
Kahdija Jabbi notched a career-best 10 points while grabbing seven boards.
Lehman concludes it regular season at home when it hosts Hunter College in a conference dual at The APEX on Wednesday at 7 pm ET.
