The Lehman College men's volleyball traveled to Bronxville, NY to take on Gryphons of Sarah Lawrence in a non-conference volleyball match and came away with a 3-1 victory. Lehman improves to 3-1 while the Gryphons remain winless at 0-4.
The first two sets were highly competitive with Lehman taking set one 27-25 and falling 26-24 in set two. The Lightning rallied to take the third set scoring five of the sets final six points to win 25-16. In the fourth set, with the score tied at 8, Lehman went on an 6-1 run to take control.
Miguel Gonzalez led the way with 16 kills and 18 digs while
Ray Rodriguez added 13 kills and 16 digs. Andre Figueroa was credited with five service aces.
Christian Agudo led the squad with 30 assists and
Juan Lemus recorded 14 digs.
The Lightning will return home on Friday to face CCNY in a non-conference game. First serve is scheduled for 7 PM.
